Are the magnets replaceable?
Yes! We machine our wedges so that at any point the magnets can be replaced. You can purchase replacement magnets HERE.
Why did the tip of my wedge bend?
The wedges should be used to capture your progress. If you use the wedge as a splitting maul, you take the chance of bending the tip.
What are the wedges made of?
The wedges are made from 6061 raw extruded aluminum. All parts are made from our shop except the magnet and the screws which are purchased in the USA.
Will this work on inward and outward swinging doors?
Absolutely!
Do you offer any warranty?
No, we currently do not offer any warranty but please reach out with any issues and we will do our best to resolve them.
What are the grooves for?
The progress capture grooves are machined and used to help capture your progress. Most commercial doors are 1/8" steel or aluminum frames which can be more slippery than your average wooden frames.
Why do some wedge sizes vary?
We have a tolerance for machining and cutting. It can range from 4.75" to 5.00".
How strong are the magnets?
Each magnet is 30lbs, however, we do like to scale them on the lower side and rate them at 15lbs each.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
We provide discounts on orders of 15 wedges or more that will be automatically applied at checkout.
